The free initial consultation involves Kieser Design actually meeting with you at your home to discuss your project. During the meeting, we will discuss with you the area that you want designed. We will also give you a firm price on what the design service will cost for your unique project. If you choose to proceed with the project, we will begin
the 3 step landscape design process.
David received a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Design and Horticulture with honors from the University of Illinois. For over ten years, he has been actively designing landscapes for homeowners in Northeastern Indiana.
A landscape design gives you a point of reference for where you are at and where you are headed with your landscape project. Landscaping without a plan yields similar results to building a home without a houseplan. Without a plan, different elements of the landscape often do not work well together, and inevitably you will spend extra time, effort, and money pulling out and transplanting plants, trying to remedy the problems.
Landscape companies often offer a "free" landscape design. As you know, nothing of any value is free in this life. Therefore, a landscape company will recoup the design fee within the price of the quote that they give you for installing their design. Also, if you do not use the landscaper to install the plan, you do not own it; therefore, you cannot install the landscape yourself or bid it out to other companies to find the best price for installing your plan. When you choose Kieser Design, you are not constrained by the above parameters. We will work with you to design a landscape plan that is unique to your home and meets your specific needs. After the design process is complete, you own the plan so you have complete freedom to install the design yourself or bid it out to several landscape companies to get the best value for your money.
Kieser Design puts forth great effort to conduct a very thorough interview with you and to be a good listener to discern your special needs and desires regarding the landscape design for your property. In this way, we are able to incorporate your "personality" into the design and make it your very own masterpiece.
Kieser Design does not have our own crew, but we are very accustomed to working with the absolute best landscape companies in the area to represent you and your landscape design installation. We can connect you directly to these companies or, for a fee, we will oversee your entire landscape installation project and walk you through the process from beginning to end to insure that your design is accurately and fairly quoted, and that it is installed correctly.
